EveryData is not EveryDolla
The names are close, so to be plain about it: EveryData Jamaica Limited is a credit bureau. EveryDolla, LLC makes a budgeting app. The two companies are unrelated. We do not hold, see or change anyone’s credit report, and nothing you do on EveryDolla goes to a bureau.
The two bureaus
The Credit Reporting Act 2010 took effect on 1 October 2010. The Bank of Jamaica supervises credit reporting, and only a licensed bureau may offer the service. On the Bank of Jamaica’s list on 2 October 2026 there are two:
- EveryData Jamaica Limited, which used to be Creditinfo Jamaica, at jm.everydata.com.
- CRIF Information Bureau Jamaica Limited. Its old address, crif.com.jm, now sends you to crifcaribbean.com.
A third bureau, Credit Information Services Limited, was reported to be leaving the market in April 2025. This comes from a newspaper and the Bank of Jamaica’s list does not include it now. Some older pages online still talk about three bureaus.
Your free report
If you are 18 or older, you can get 1Source: EveryData Jamaica (licensed credit bureau, not part of EveryDolla) free copy of your credit report in each calendar year, and that holds for each bureau. So you can ask both and see whether they agree. EveryData states the right on its own site. We could not read the section of the Act that gives it, because the Bank of Jamaica’s copy is a scanned PDF.
Ask for it on the bureau’s own website. JN Group says reports arrive the same day or within 48 hours, and that a second copy in the same year costs extra. That is JN’s description, so check the price with the bureau.
Read the report line by line. Look for loans you have finished paying, accounts you do not recognise and late payments you made on time.
What a good score is
We found no official score range, and no cut-off that every lender uses, in the sources we checked. We would sooner say that than print a number we cannot back up. Each lender decides what it will accept, and it may weigh your income, your deposit and your other loans as well.
What you can do is read the scale on your own report, and ask the lender what it looks for before you apply. Our tools help with the other half, which is how much a loan payment takes from your pay. Start with our salary calculator for your take-home pay, then the budget calculator.
If something is wrong
If your report has a mistake, take it up with the bureau that issued it first. For a complaint about a bureau itself, the Bank of Jamaica has a Credit Reporting Oversight Unit. You can reach it on BOJ's Credit Reporting Oversight Unit: 876-932-4116, credit.bureau@boj.org.jmSource: Bank of Jamaica: credit reporting.
