What EveryDolla does
EveryDolla is a personal finance app for iPhone and the web. Once you sign in, the purchase alerts NCB, Scotiabank or First Global Bank send you come to EveryDolla too: only those alerts, only from the banks you use. Each one becomes a purchase with its merchant, amount and card, gets a category, and your budgets update as you spend.
Totals are in J$. A purchase in US dollars or another currency is converted to J$ and counted. You can add a cash purchase yourself, or give eVe, the assistant in the app, a bank statement or a receipt and she adds the purchases on it.
EveryDolla can’t move money, and it never asks for your online banking password.
Who makes it
EveryDolla is made by EveryDolla, LLC, a company registered in Delaware in the United States. We build it for people who live and bank in Jamaica. The app is free while it is in early access.
EveryDolla has no connection to EveryData, the Jamaican credit bureau. The names are similar, but we don’t keep credit reports or scores.
The free tools and guides
We also publish free calculators, rates pages and guides for the money questions Jamaicans search for. You don’t need an account to use them. The EveryDolla team writes them and checks every figure against an official source, such as Tax Administration Jamaica, the National Housing Trust, the Bank of Jamaica or the lender itself. Our editorial policy explains how, and sources lists every figure we use.
We are not a bank, lender, broker, tax adviser or financial adviser. Our calculators give estimates, and the institution you deal with has the final figure. How we make money explains why no lender pays us.
