Turn on JMMB alerts
JMMB's online banking page advises customers to turn on text or email alerts for account activity, without saying how. The Moneyline app's how-to list has eleven guides, from PINning a debit card to generating a statement, and none is about alerts.
Who to ask
- Call JMMB on (876) 998-5662. Its hours are 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday.
- Ask for email alerts to be switched on for your Visa Debit card.
- Ask which email address JMMB holds for you, and change it if it's out of date.
What a JMMB alert says
JMMB's alert is one sentence with everything in a fixed order. Here is the sample above.
- CardVisa Debit card ending 1234The kind of card and its last digits.
- StatusapprovedA turned-down purchase says declined in the same sentence, and a reversal says reversed.
- MerchantSAMPLE MART KINGSTONThe merchant, written after the word at.
- AmountJMD 2,500.00The currency code comes before the amount. A US-dollar purchase says USD.
- Date and time12 Sep 2026 3:45 PMDay, month in three letters, year, then the time.
- BalanceNot includedThe purchase alert doesn't state your balance.
The other alerts JMMB sends
- A purchase JMMB turns down arrives as Your JMMB Bank Visa Debit card ending 1234 was declined at the merchant for the amount.
- A reversal arrives in the same wording with the word reversed.
- The same sender also sends notices such as Your JMMB Bank statement is ready to view. That one is a reminder with no purchase in it.
When JMMB alerts stop arriving
Work down this list and stop when alerts come back.
- Ask JMMB which email address your card alerts go to. JMMB doesn't publish a way to change it for alerts, so the bank is the one to fix it.
- Check the card. The alert wording names a Visa Debit card, so a new or replacement card may need alerts switched on again.
- Look in your junk or spam folder, then add transactionalerts@jmmb.com to your contacts.
- Don't give an unexpected one-time password to anyone. JMMB's own guidance says to treat unexpected OTPs and requests for your details as suspicious.
- EveryDolla gets your alerts through the Gmail or Outlook account you connect. If the email address JMMB holds for you is a different one, the alerts go to that inbox and none show up in EveryDolla.
An alert you don’t recognise
Lock your debit card in the Moneyline app: Menu, then Cards, then your debit card, then Lock Card. Then fill in JMMB's Visa Debit Transaction Dispute Form and email it to visadebit@jmmb.com, or call (876) 998-5662.
An alert that looks right can still be fake, because anyone can copy a sender’s name and address. If an alert asks you to click a link or share a code, open JMMB’s app or call the number on its website instead.
Use your JMMB alerts in EveryDolla
Sign in to EveryDolla and pick JMMB. From then on, the transaction alerts JMMB already sends you come to EveryDolla too, only those alerts. Each purchase shows up with its merchant, amount and card, sorted into a category and added up in J$.
A purchase in US dollars keeps its US$ amount and counts toward your total in J$. Declines, reversals, card payments and transfers aren’t counted as spending. EveryDolla never asks for your JMMB online banking password and it can’t move money. The budgeting app page shows how the pieces fit.
